The crumb catcher is somewhat an accidental design feature that has turned in to a very popular accessory. I had made an actual crumb catcher for my kitchen to place next to the toaster to.... well, catch crumbs.
I said to myself, "self, that'll look great in the bottom of my humidor".... so, I went to the shop and made me something sort of like it to put in the bottom of my humidor.
The purpose of the crumb catcher is not to catch crumbs.... I just don't know what else to call it. However, it greatly enhances the air and humidity flow around your cigars on the bottom level of your humidor..... and has been well received as a valued accessory.
